Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is underpinned by our school values and provides purposeful and flexible learning experiences that develops children into responsible future citizens.

We provide knowledge rich learning which progressively builds on prior learning and connects knowledge, allowing children to stretch their minds.

We promote a positive climate where children feel safe to question and challenge themselves and others, empowering them to deepen their learning.

Our curriculum provides children with the tools to succeed now and in later life. Our aim is to nurture creativity and encourage problem solving and critical thinking.

Our children will leave our school with a wealth of knowledge and having found their passion for learning and are well prepared for their next step.

PDL Curriculum

At our school, we value Personal Development Learning (PDL).  Our PDL curriculum encompasses Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) as well as Relationships and Sex Education, Safeguarding, Mental Health and Wellbeing.  Everything we do ties into our school values.   Please find our policy and planning below:

Religious Education (RE)

Our school is based on an inclusive and broad minded ethos; we expect all children to attend collective Worship assemblies and participate in RE lessons. However, we respect the right of any parent/guardian to request permission for their child to be excused.  Withdrawal will only be made following parental discussion with the Head teacher followed by written confirmation of withdrawal. The school will make alternative arrangements for the supervision of those children granted withdrawal from assemblies and lessons.
